As the Director of Strategic Growth Initiatives, Omar is responsible for leading the company’s business development efforts by identifying, planning, and driving new client relationship-building, strategy and on-boarding. Omar does this by capitalizing on his deep experience and knowledge gained while working at Amazon and other successful retailers. He has the ability to pinpoint how best to poise clients for optimal success both on the Amazon platform, and off.
Before Joining Channel Key:
Prior to joining Channel Key in 2018, Omar held multiple roles at Amazon HQ in Seattle. These roles included Brand Specialist, Business Development Manager, and Vendor Manager. During his time at Amazon Omar directly managed and grew portfolios of brands (100+), exceeding goals and setting the bar for customer satisfaction. Additionally, he fostered relationships with iconic international brands in order to successfully onboard and poise these brands for short and long-term success (75+). Prior to Omar’s time at Amazon, he held multiple roles, including but not limited to: Founder of Creative Investment Solutions (Residential real-estate focused investment company), Merchandise Planning at Abercrombie & Fitch, District Management at ALDI stores, and internships at YUM! Brands (Beirut, Lebanon) and HaiFong Footwear Company (Guangzhou, China).
Schooling and Personal Tidbits:
Omar earned a double-BSBA, specializing in Marketing and Logistics Management from The Ohio State University Fisher College of Business. He also earned minors in Economics and Theatre. In order to feed his passion for international travel and to broaden horizons, he spent a semester abroad studying Finance at The University of Edinburgh, Scotland. During his time at OSU, he was an active volunteer at the James Cancer Hospital, doing his part to support Cancer patients through their struggles. Aside from his professional career, Omar enjoys spending time with his family and friends, volunteering, being physically active in any way possible, and of course – cheering on The Ohio State Buckeyes.
