AI-Powered Strategy Reverses CRaP Status and Drives 361% Sales Growth

​OVERVIEW​

In early 2025, Catit’s Airsift Litter Pan faced a steep decline in performance on Amazon Vendor Central. Despite strong historical sales of $1.9M annually, the ASIN was flagged as CRaP due to margin pressure, making it ineligible for Sponsored Products and causing organic visibility to collapse. Channel Key deployed a full-funnel, workaround-driven strategy using AI video, Virtual Bundles, and influencer content to reverse the decline and drive new growth.

    Created an AI-powered video from a single static image with motion, animation, and usage simulation. Launched via Sponsored Brands Video to work within ad placement guidelines and re-establish visibility.

     

  • Unlock Sponsored Products with Virtual Bundles
    Bundled in-stock items to create a new ASIN eligible for Sponsored Products, providing a new advertising opportunity for the CRaP-flagged product. 
     
     

  • Creator Connections to Drive Traffic
    Activated influencers to produce shoppable video content and bring in external traffic.

     

CONCLUSION

In just four months, Catit turned around a CRaP-flagged ASIN by executing a creative, full-funnel strategy on Amazon. Channel Key leveraged AI-generated video, Sponsored Brands, Virtual Bundles, and influencer-driven traffic to restore visibility and reignite sales momentum. The approach drove a 361% increase in sales and successfully re-engaged new customers, with 85% of Sponsored Brands Video conversions coming from new-to-brand shoppers.
